In nearly twenty years of writing, I have accumulated large quantities of scenes, scenarios and snippets that probably won’t ever amount to anything. These pages feature just a few. As this collection has grown, I’ve needed to move away from having them all on the one page. Below I provide links to each of the pages, but also to the beginning of each story or snippet for convenience.
Please note that none of these have been edited and they will probably not be expanded or continued.

- Feathers - The clubhouse meets with a small misfortune in this snippet. (408 words, added 11 May 2021)
- The Research Project - Trixie was 13 in 1948. In 2030, Tara Simpson has a project to do. Complete short story. (3,314 words, added 11 May 2021)
- If Honey Kissed Nick - A snippet of conversation between the three girls about real and hypothetical kisses. (1,253 words, added 11 May 2021)
- A Different Drummer - The Bob-White girls gain a new perspective on life in this snippet. (1,133 words, added 11 May 2021)

- I Don’t Want to Know - A little bit of fun, playing on the word ’know‘. (1066 words, added 22 September 2021)
- The Break-up - A snippet of conversation between Trixie and Honey after a break-up. (793 words, added 22 September 2021)
- Perspective - A snippet about the perception of attractiveness. (454 words, added 22 September 2021)
- Looking Back - In this snippet, someone returns to Sleepyside to consider their past. (945 words, added 22 September 2021)
Page Five and Page Six (Added 2022):
- The Thirty-one Secrets - The Bob-Whites decide to confess thirty-one secrets that they have kept from each other, one for each year they have had their club. (12,231 words across two pages, added 31 January 2022)
Page Seven (Added 2022, 2023 and 2024):
- Sevens - Trixie reflects on the significance of the number seven in her life. (3,057 words, added 31 August 2022)
- Nightmare - Mart’s subconscious rewrites a piece of classic literature. (2,114 words, added 5 September 2023)
- The Interview - Honey just has to tell Trixie about something which just happened. (730 words, added 2 March 2024)
Page Eight (Added 2023):
- An Exercise in Universe Building - A series of snippets that flesh out the background to a still-unfinished story. The story may not ever be finished and the back story may not remain the same. This is not the usual way that I create a universe, but it made sense in this case. (9,200 words, YELLOW STAR, added 5 September 2023)
Life on Memory Lane (Added 2024):
- Life on Memory Lane - Strictly speaking, this story does not belong here. It’s over sixty thousand words long, so by no means a short story. But it has been in a state of being basically finished for over a decade and I can’t see myself actually polishing it up to post. It has the unfortunate distinction of having had major elements of its plot stolen for a story that I like much better. Anyway, in this story Trixie suffers an unwanted change of plans and has to find something to do with herself for the summer. She gets a job helping an older lady figure out the answer to some questions from her past and in the process discovers some things about herself. (63,009 words, added 31 May 2024)
